Pax Mentis Psychiatry
Welcome — I’m Dr. Mung.
Pax Mentis, in Latin, means “peace of mind,” and that is my goal for my patients. My approach to psychiatry is rooted in the belief that true healing happens when mind, body, and spirit are cared for together. I developed an early appreciation for preventive and lifestyle approaches to health while attending Loma Linda University School of Medicine, known for its mission of whole-person care and leadership in lifestyle medicine.
I completed my residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where I trained across inpatient, outpatient, community, telehealth, and university mental-health settings. I also had the unique opportunity to work in a perinatal psychiatry clinic, which deepened my understanding of the mental-health needs of mothers and inspired my ongoing interest in perinatal care.
I provide faith-informed, compassionate care that integrates evidence-based psychiatry with spiritual and lifestyle principles to help individuals restore balance and improved mental wellness.
